[REVIEW] KATE Powderless Liquid for COVER & KATE Lasting Base for COVER

Holla~!!
Sorry that I haven't posted much in these few weeks because I'm too busy with
assignment plus a new hobby of mine..lol

Last two weeks I managed to drop by Watson to restock some products because I ran out most of those needy items. I saw KATE shelves and I remembered that they had a new collection launch last year and I've been targeting the products since then. Initially, I thought it wasn't available since KATE Malaysia facebook said I can't get the new products there. To my surprise, the new collection are there on the shelves so I just grab them on!

My first experience with KATE is when I won SaSa giveaway for KATE products and since then, I've been their fan because I really love every products that I've tried especially their base and foundation combi!
In this collection, it was said that the foundation finish is powdery and it absolutely captured me becoz I love powdery finish because it won't be too dry like matte.

Along with the foundation, I also grabbed their new base product. It was a tad smaller than I imagined compared to the ads photos. So I was in between whether to grab it or not but then after trying the tester on shelves, it was pretty good though..

Note that the base only available in one color.

quite small version..

sorry coz it's a bit dirty with my fingerprints..haha

the size are about the same and almost the same size as my palm.

the foundation almost turns to powder!

i mix both of the colors :D

(click picture for larger view)

I used my Dolly Wink eyeliner in black and brown to show to the different before and after used. The base is very very sheer and the foundation coverage is sheer to medium. It didn't cover up my redness fully but improved my skin color the most and conceals minor flaws. This almost looks like tinted moisturizer but with powdery finish.

I usually layer up the base first and then I follow up with the foundation. The base is a bit moist so it does a good job balancing with the powdery finish of the foundation. Sometimes my skin can be too dry after I wash my face so I usually mix up the foundation with my Hada Labo lotion because too avoid the foundation ended up being cakey.

After 1 week of trying both of this combination, I would say that both of them really did a great job and I personally love the base because it gives color to my dull skin. However, it is not waterproof and it doesn't hold my face make-up to stay longer. I could say that it lengthen the time for my make-up to stay better than wearing the foundation alone so this means that wearing both is a must or at least another base that you likes may make your make-up to stay.

For the foundation, I could say that it stays about 2-3 hours on my face with the help of the base. I rarely wear the foundation alone so it could be the base extended the time about 1 hour or so. However, I dislike one thing about this foundation is the thing that it settles into the fine lines. I used to laugh a lot and when my face is at rest, I could see the laughing lines of the foundation. It could be that my skin is oily and it became like that because I notice that it didn't happen every time but only on the day where I feels my skin is too oily.

The finish of the base is not powdery but a bit moist and the foundation finish is powdery like KATE cosmetics said. It turns powdery in 15 seconds according to them and yes, it is true. In fact I didn't have to use any powder to set my make-up because it is already does that part.

There are about 6 shades available to choose if I'm not mistaken and this OC-D is really the perfect color for my skin. I usually having a hard time choosing the right color of foundation because when I test them out, some colors might looks okay but sometimes it can be too dark or too white compared to my skin. I do not want to look like I'm wearing much make-up for my everyday looks and this foundation really helps me to achieve that way.

Overall, both of them are definitely a good try to those who didn't want heavy foundation on skin because they're very light and I feels like I'm not wearing make-up at all.
Currently Watson are having sales and most of KATE products do have 10% off for their old and new products so grab them fast! You also can visit KATE Malaysia facebook to get a RM10 coupon to purchase this new collection from KATE! Lucky you because I don't even know this coupon exist before I bought these cuties :D

Thanks for reading~

[REVIEW] KATE Lasting High Coverage Liquid Foundation SPF20 PA++ & KATE Covering Concealer for Pores

Hello~
So this is the continuation of reviews for the KATE products I won from SaSa giveaway.
Both products are my current HG items. With this both combination, they sure gave a very great results.

P/S : Don't forget to enter my GIVEAWAY! Ends on 30th December and Open Internationally~

Lemme start off with the pore concealer ;

Simple packaging that came in a tube.

I left some of the residue just to show you the final look.
It should looks better on face because it lessen my redness and cover the pores.

The performance of this pore concealer is very good. Although it is white in color but it dries clear and powdery. It feels like you put nothing but it really controls the oil on my face. My foundation can stay for more hours than usual using this awesome concealer. Definitely my favorite on those but the one that I dislike for this product is the smell. The smell could be bad but thankfully it dries and the smell goes away.
Aside from that, the powdery finish that I'm talking about is really miraculous!I feel my skin is so smooth after application. But remember, because this came in a small tube, so you just have to apply them on the zone where the oil goes out more than any part of your face.

I would say that this is definitely a repurchase!

So, next is the foundation.I'm sorry that I forgot to take the upfront picture..hehe :D

I believe that the description says that I should shake the bottle before using but I always forgot to shake them..I should keep this in mind now :D

The bottle is not too big nor too small either but it is very slim and the packaging is so simple with few words on it.

Thankfully it came with a pump!Definitely hygienic!

I got the color in OC-B which the lightest among the few shades they had!
I thought to myself that this gonna be so light..oh nooo..
Aside that, foundation is watery in type and it is so easy to work with and absorb to the skin and blends very well.

It has a yellow undertone!yeay~

See..see?It blends with the skin very well!I never thought the lightest shade would suit me.

This photo is the most recent I took..sigh..how do I cleared up those redness?
Anyway, just to mention that I didn't wear the pore concealer before applying the foundation in this picture. The redness should looks lesser if I put them on.
Although it looks white but it oxidizes well on my face. It simply brighten up my face and most people notice that..I'm glad!

Overall ;

Coverage :
The coverage is good if taken the point that this is watery-like type. It is quite hard to find something watery to have such a good coverage.

Texture :
Watery. Although it is watery type but don't worry, the liquid won't sliding down on your face.It stays on hold very well.

Smell :
No smell detected. Japanese cosmetics used to not having any smell in their products.

Staying hours :
Stays very well accompanied by the pore concealer and a bit powder about 4-5 hours on oily face. It should work better on dry skin.

Skin type :
Suit all skin types. Not too dry on dry skin and not oily at all.

Price :
Priced at RM79.90 in SaSa Malaysia.Correct me if I'm wrong but it should be around that when the last time I saw this in SaSa. Quite expensive I know but it's worth it!

Right now I'm targeting the new Fall Collection which include a new foundation. It should be better than this.I can't wait!

Anyway, thanks for dropping by~See ya on the next post!

[REVIEW & TUTORIAL] Kanebo KATE Gel Eye Shadow in BR-1 and KATE Real Create Eyes in BU-1

Yesterday I posted the review for PK-1 and I'm diligently doing another one last night..I mean taking pictures and all so I'm going to post another tutorial for this shades.

I actually wanted to blog about the concert I went last Saturday,of course it's Big Bang concert! But I need time to sort out everything since I'm still not in the mood to write a long blog post yet and I haven't finished my withdrawal syndrome in my facebook so yeah it would be another time :D

and pssst..I just know that today is Friday!omg..I don't know what exactly I've been doing all this week..maybe I'm too immersed reading manga everyday..lol

So yeay, I got two of this! The left one is given by KATE and the right one, I bought it myself~

Pretty palette.I took a lot of time to choose the colors..I should get the green one too!

The price attached. Although I'm using the RM10 KATE voucher, but it still expensive..lol
The palette got 10% sales now and I don't understand why the Sasa workers ask me to choose whether to use my voucher or used the 10% sales! It's clearly said in the voucher that the item that got 10% sales also applicable for the voucher! They're tricking me!erghh

Anyway,this time I labelled the palette..hehe :D

The colors is pretty pigmented..you can see it yourselves.

I thought I'll use different technique for this tutorial and I'll include this gel eyeshadow I got as a base color.
Basically I don't think it is a gel(?) because the texture is not like gel at all..It is greasy(?) I'm horrible at describing things..really..

The palette is pretty chic, right?

Glitters~~yeay~~

So I made another tutorial for this eyeshadow including the gel eye shadow too!Hope you like it~

The final result!I think the colors shows up better than PK-1 but both are definitely great eyeshadows!
The gel eye shadow also great since it doesn't really make the eye shadows crease..

Definitely re-purchase!
See my review of the palette here

[REVIEW & TUTORIAL]Kanebo KATE Real Create Eyes in PK-1

Hey guys~!
I'm going to review Kanebo KATE Real Create Eyes in PK-1 which I got from Sasa Giveaway last time.
I actually bought the BU-4 shades recently because I really love this eyeshadow!

You basically can found this brand in Watson and Sasa (i'm not really sure about Guardian but I think they had this brand too)..Before this I've taken no like to this brand becoz their booth is always so messy and had less product too.Maybe it was the Watson's fault that did not update the booth and the workers are always prefer to sit a group and start gossiping (opps xD)<--this may apply to the one that I used to drop by.

But last time I went to redeem my KATE voucher at Sasa and I was staring at all products since their booth is so nice and chic!(That's why Sasa is the most expensive place too!lol)

So here is the color range. I also take a look at other KATE eyeshadows too and I found out that the most line had pretty the same colors in each palette. That might be some policies of their brand I think.

This is what the palette looks like. It may be simple in design and they used plastic for the packaging but it is already looks chic to me =)

I'm glad that they did not change the packaging box when sold outside Japan. I'm happy to see all these words despite not understands anything but there...

MADE IN JAPAN

So yeshhh!haha

They included the instruction too.It is actually pretty confusing so I've done research on the correct ways to do it. I've included a tutorial for your convenience ^_^

I originally thought that this an earthy-color type but it is actually pink shade. The earthy one is either BR-1 or BR-2.
I made the swatch on fingers coz I think it shows better.Regarding those ABC, you can refer back to the box.I forgot to label the picture..
The color is pigmented and I agree but it will looks subtle on eyelid.
The A actually looks white but it had a pink hint with it.I thought the texture is creamy but A is a bit gooey so I didn't use this much coz it will crease really bad for the rest of the shadows colors. Oh by the way, the other colors is not creamy or anything. The texture is just like the normal powdery eyeshadows.

Because the palette consists of 5 colors so here is the fifth one. From the palette, it should be labelled B and again I'm sorry for forgetting to label this.It looks subtle pink on the palette also looks subtle on eyelid.

So here is the tutorial I made.Sorry if it looks bad..I'm a newbie regarding editing this..haha
So I hope you'll understand of what I'm trying to say for each picture too..

My hands nearly broke taking all this pic since I have to re-do it so many time since some of the pictures came out blur and I really need the best one..so I re-do of the taking pictures a lot.

so here is the final picture.Sorry, my eyes wasn't pretty so it sure would looks good on everyone else..

If you need moving tutorial, watch this. I think KATE specially made the tutorial video but it is unlisted so I can't embed the video so I gave you link.

My verdicts :

LIKE ;
a. I love the colors. Although it looks very pigmented but the actual one when you apply on your lid,it looks really subtle and I'm looking this type for so long since my other eyeshadows are just too pigmented for everyday used.
b. I like the color combination in one palette. It just perfect for the whole eyes.
c. Easy to carry because it is really light and small so I can touch-up whenever I feels like.
d. Nice glitters. It was't really big and it just the right.

DISLIKE ;
a. May caused a bit of fall outs..but most eyeshadows with glitters do the same so this doesn't really bother me.
b. The *A is too gooey coz I expected it to be creamy type.So I didn't used this much although the color shows nice.
c. The price is a bit expensive ; RM59 for a palette(so please wait for sales!hehe)

I think this is really a great palette since it is perfect for the whole eyes and everyday looks. ^_^
So please give it a try.

Thanks for reading. If you like it,please share or leave a comment. Thanks~
I'll be back for more reviews after this~

KATE Cosmetics Japan I ❤ Sexy Lips Gift Set

Halooo..finally I'm home!tadaima~
Those dreadful weeks of exam have passed and I'm super free right now!
However, I didn't intend to do any part time jobs this semester break..lol

But the saddest thing is I can't online much as I used to back in my campus and also can't wake up late..T^T
I already used to my type of sleep time and I never used to reverse it back to normal..like forever(?)

My parents is so strict regarding the waking up time and also limited my time to online..it sucks that I can't even online at night!gyaaaah! It would be better if my broadband can be used at times like this so that I can sneaked out in my room the whole night BUT the signal is not very strong and the broadband is useless..>_<

Anyway, I received some lovely gifts from different kind of places and here is the KATE Japan gift set I won from SaSa Malaysia ~hehe :D
My friend used to say that I'm always lucky regarding entering giveaways but actually the usual giveaways which I really wanted to win, I never won any but the one that I join just for fun,I did won that..oh lol..XD

The contest stated that RM50 gift set and RM10 voucher will be given away in set but after I saw the full gift set I got,I wonder if this is really RM50?I think if calculated from the SaSa store roughly, this set almost reached RM200! or more maybe(?)

There is the cute bag from KATE and the masks I bought from Qoo10.com.my.
The seller of the masks is here.

It's the masks from baviphat. I never tried this before but aren't they cute?
I got this for RM0.40@0.13USD per piece.Super cheap right?!
But sad the limited quantity to buy a day is 5 and the time they got sales,I only managed to get 10 of this..Of course with different brand and flavors(?)..because the usual price you'll see this mask in store is like multiples times of the price I stated..

Back to KATE again, they gave me almost the full make-up for face.
The first thing I saw in the bag is that palette!omg..I actually saw that palette a lot.
From youtube gurus and other Japan make-up lovers blog but never grab any of this on KATE stands in Watsons because it is too expensive *sob*sob*

For the KATE theme and products packaging, they are targeting this brand for mature young woman/glamorous type or working woman type. That is what I thought when I watched the CF..hehe.
Although some of the packaging looks really plain/dull but I think they wanted to show the purity and edgy style of the brand.

Just for a larger view?lol
They also gave me the nail set which is nail polish in pink-red color and nail color remover(such a big bottle)
Since it is wrong for me to use any of nail polishes,I intend to sell this..anyone interested?

Anyway, review coming up since I've tried most of these products!
Wanted to know what I'm saying? Please wait for next post~

and here is the samples I got from the seller(qoo10).Pretty a lot right? I don't even got this much when I bought few hundreds stuff with other seller.

Till next time..jaa~
