[REVIEW] VIVANTSKINCARE, for acne skin and rosacea safe

I always trusted dermatologist since they knew better about the skin more than me myself. So last 2-3 months, a representative from VivantSkincare would like me to review their skincare line and I leave up all the products choosing to them after I said that my skin is oily, dull, rough and a little red on cheeks. Although it might be hard to actually imagine that in reality without some photos of me without makeup, they decided to sent me this skincare products that is rosacea safe.

A little bit about VivantSkincare,

"Founded in 1990 in California by the late Dr. James E. Fulton, Jr., M.D., Ph.D., co-developer of Retin-A®, and his wife Sara Fulton, Vivant Skin Care is a clinical skin care line rooted in Fulton’s patented vitamin A therapies. The products consist of VS Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Wash, VS 3% Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 Toner and VS Rejuv Rx Peptide Concentrate. The VS Green Tea Antioxidant Cleanser were sent as a complimentary since they read a post of mine where I said that I'm obsessed with Green Tea so they sent me one! :D They asked me to try all of these products for at least 30 days and dropping all the other products which I did as per asked.

The toner words are rubbed of the bottle since I used it a lot.

The cleanser came in this convenient packaging.

The green tea had green color tint and the mandelic acid wash had an orange tint to it.

GREEN TEA ANTIOXIDANT CLEANSER - $29.50, here.

Claims;

It is formulated to dissolve oil, dirt and make up while preserving the skin's natiral acid mantle. Great for all skin types including rosacea.

Usage;

The first step in the skincare steps. I mostly alternate this cleanser with the mandelic acid wash for the first step.

Ingredients;

Water as the first ingredient followed by Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, a cleansing agent. This cleanser contain Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance and colorant (Blue 1, Yellow 5). Honestly, I'm not a fan of the colorants since the color stains my pore brush.

Performance;

This cleanser does clean my skin very well and after cleansing, there is a "film" feel on the skin which is should be remove by the Mandelic Acid toner in the next step.

Results;

I like that it cleanse very well however, I have to watch out for the amount that I used every time since this would cause my skin to peel off especially in the mouth area. It also leaves the skin quite dry after cleansing.

MANDELIC ACID 3-in-1 WASH - $31.00, here.

Claims;

This unique face and body wash helps suppress acne bacteria and restrains the formation of Melanin that causes blotchy pigmentation. Helps prevent ingrown hairs.

Usage;

I used this alternately with the Green Tea Antioxidant Wash for the first step in skincare. Can also be used as shampoo on scalp to control dandruff and acne.

Ingredients;

Contain Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance and Colorants (Red 36). Same opinion with the Green Tea cleanser.

Performance;

Surprisingly this cleanser doesn't cause me peeling off around the mouth like the Green Tea cleanser does. It does leave a "film" on the surface of the skin after washing. By the way, the "film" cause tightening feels on the skin.

Results;

I like the fact that it cleanse well although the color stain my pore brush. Does leave the skin feels a little dry after washing.

3% MANDELIC ACID 3-in-1 TONER - $44.00, here.

Claims;

It refines the surface of the skin and penetrate deep into pores to remove dirt, oil, makeup, and pore-clogging dead skin cells. It suppresses acne bacteria, lifts of hyper pigmentation and stimulates new collagen production.

Usage;

Second step in the skincare.

Ingredients;

Key ingredients are Witch Hazel and Mandelic Acid.

Performance;

It does sting my skin when I applied it to the skin. Probably because of the Witch Hazel ingredient since that ingredient do sting my skin but it doesn't do harm like increase the redness. Once, I may have applied this near to my eyes and it stings my eye so I asked for an advice from the director, Susan about that and she said it probably because of the evaporation of the product. Regarding the sting feel on the skin, she said it maybe prior to the skincare that I've used before I started this regime. It also shows that the product is working in exfoliating the skin so that Rejuv Rx can penetrate the skin.

Results;

My skin is quite supple after using this toner. It does feel like it removes the "film" created by the cleansers.

REJUV RX PEPTIDE CONCENTRATE - $106.00, here.

Claims;

This silky peptide serum helps enhance firmness and elasticity as well as prevent future signs of aging. Smoothes lines around mouth, eyes and forehead. Also ideal for alleviating inflammation and redness associated with rosacea and irritated skin.

Usage;

This is the last step in the skincare. I did not used this on the first week of skincare regime since they advice me not to use this earlier until the skin adapted to the skincare.

Ingredients;

I'm quite okay with fragrance as long as it doesn't irritate my skin nor have strong smell.

Performance;

This is the most comfortable step out of the three since it doesn't irritate my skin. The watery liquid also absorbs really fast to the skin and leave it supple.

Results;

I'm not sure about the wrinkles improvements since I don't have wrinkles myself except for the under eye. However, I could say that it does lessen my redness on my cheeks.

Although the products might be a little harsh on me, as a lot of acne products do this, it actually works for my skin. I see that the redness on my cheeks are lessen and pimples and acne breakouts doesn't occur that much either.

I do have breakouts in the month of using it so it doesn't mean that the products can stop it from happening. However, I do believe that hygiene and food intake are a very important role in making the whole steps works. 

Below is the before and after picture of my skin after 1 month and half of using all these products. I highly recommend you to do consultation first before trying these products.

[REVIEW] Eau Thermale Avène Cleanance EXPERT

Avène Cleanance - in order of skincare steps.

I’ve been given a chance by Avene to try out the Avène Cleanance EXPERT emulsion from the TAP program by Seeties.

In order to experience a full result, I was also given complimentary size products of the Avène Cleanance cleansing water, cleansing gel, toner, lotion and mask.

Its benefits:

- Cleanses and removes make-up: its surfactants gently and effectively eliminate impurities from the skin.

- Regulates sebum: Glyceryl laurate (patent pending) regulates the hyper-production of sebum.

- Purifies: cetrimonium bromide purifies the skin.

- Soothing: rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water, it contains all its soothing and softening properties.

Review: This cleansing water is amazing! I usually clean my makeup by using the oil cleanser and have been using this afterwards and it leaves my skin super moisturise and smooth. My pores are totally tight. I’m not sure why the order of cleansing that this came first before the gel cleanser but I usually used it after the gel cleanser because I didn’t want to wash it(it’s no-rinse by the way)

Its benefits:

- Purifying: Its gentle, soapless base cleanses your skin gently and leaves it feeling refreshed.

- Regulating: Glyceryl laurate regulates excess sebum. Mattifies your skin.

- Soothing: Avène Thermal Spring Water, soothing, softening, provides instant soothing to your skin.

- Easy to use: Easy to use dispenser cap measures the right amount.

Review: This gel cleanser produce bubbles easy when you lather it up. What I like about it is that it is not hard to remove like normal face wash because it was soapless. It felt nice on the skin and it doesn’t strip out the moisture from my skin. Added with the Thermal Spring Water, I really feel that it does lots of goodness to the skin. The full-sized product is amounted at 200ml per bottle. And it came with a dispenser cap to ease the use.

Its benefits:

- Purifying: Thanks to the purifying actives included in its transparent phase, your skin becomes clean and clear.

- Matifying: Glyceryl laurate, combined with absorbent powders, reduces excess sebum. Your skin has a long-lasting, shine-free effect.

- Soothing: Avène Thermal Spring Water is soothing and anti-irritating and gives your skin an instant feeling of calm.

Review: This toner is definitely mattifying my skin. It’s watery in texture and absorb pretty fast into the skin. This is a good prep toner before I apply the Cleanance EXPERT cream. It’s important the shake the bottle before using because the after a while, the two substance will separate.

Its benefits:

- Anti-blemishes: DiolénylTM*, a patented innovation developed by Pierre Fabre Research, with a selective triple action to limit the risk of bacterial proliferation (clinically in vitro proven on P. acnes), reduce redness and help eliminate spots.

- Exfoliating: X-PressinTM* helps reduce blackheads and smoothes the skin's texture.

- Mattifying: Monolaurin* regulates the hyperproduction of sebum.

- Cleanance EXPERT is a light emulsion that is easy to apply. Quickly absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and mattified. It makes a good make-up base.

Review: Avène Cleanance EXPERT is an acne treatment that you should try. It’s a lightweight emulsion and it came in a white opaque colour but spread clear. Usually the emulsion for blemishes skin wouldn’t be so moisturising but it differs with this emulsion. I felt that it moisturise my skin very well until the next day I woke up from bed. In two weeks of trying, I can see that it really makes difference on my skin. I didn’t encounter any new breakout while using this. Though it as recommended if you combine it with another pimple/acne medicine treatment  but I feel like the emulsion alone manage to prevent any new breakout on my skin.

Its benefits:

- Regulating: Regulates sebum production thanks to its new active ingredient, glyceryl laurate.

- Mattifying: Its microcapsules absorb excess sebum for an instant shine-free effect.

- Soothing: Avène Thermal Spring Water, is soothing and anti-irritating and gives your skin a soft feeling.

Review: The full-tube is 40ml and this is only the sample size (6ml). The lotion is semi-opaque and spread clear. It almost felt watery and a bit cool to touch when spreading this cream onto my face. As a compliment to the Cleanance EXPERT, I think both combinations are so good in terms of supplying moisture. It mattify but gives a good amount of moisture to the skin.

Its benefits:

- Deep cleansing: When used as a scrub, it gently eliminates skin imperfections with its AHA and BHA complex combined with exfoliating particles. Your skin tone becomes clearer. Your skin becomes smoother.

- Mattifying: The soft clay absorbs the excess sebum. Combined with Glyceryl laurate which regulates the hyper-production of sebum, it leaves your skin shine-free.

- Soothing: with its rich content of the naturally soothing and anti-irritating Avène Thermal Spring Water.

Review: The mask is in opaque white with bits. It works great for both scrubbing and masking. Just apply it onto the face and scrub for a minute or so and leave it for a few minutes. Then you can either wash it or gently wipe it. The bits are gentle enough for blemishes skin and it doesn’t hurt my sensitive skin. My skin feels a lot better and my pores felt tight after use and I usually use this like 2 times per week since my skin kind of collected dirt pretty soon.

Look on how amazing it is on reducing the redness on my face! As I previously said, this whole skincare just prevent me from having breakout and it also reduces the redness on my face. Probably because the ingredient is gentle on the skin that it didn’t damage any further of my tissues compared to what I use during normal cleansing.

Overall, I’m so in love with Avène Cleanance! It’s a great skincare for those who have blemishes or oily skin like me because it prevents the acne from popping up as well as providing enough moisture to the skin and at the same time keep the face less oily all day. You should definitely try this out and see what it does to your skin :)

[REVIEW] The Face Shop Clean Face Acne Solution Foam Cleansing & Oil-Free Control Essence

Hey there guys! I think I neglect this blog too much lately..sorry for that but I will blog more interesting post this coming weekend.. :)

Well, just to fill up the empty dates, I decided to post the review for this two products which I actually used up both of them for some time. This has been sitting in my draft for so long..o.o

As you might know, I don't have this super clean face because I'm acne-prone. One of the reason probably I don't really took care of my diet in terms of controlling oily food since I had this type of skin. Well, I can't really do anything about that since there are a lot of Malaysian food which are fried-based food..;(

So I bought these two items as my previous skincare(before these two) ran out. I usually switch my skincare after I finish up my current one..A lot of people will said that this is totally wrong which it can cause trouble skin but to be honest, my skin isn't like that. One person knows her skin the best right?

I can't stay with one skincare at a time because my skin is kind of creating this immune to one specific ingredients so they would not work for second time for me except the Etude House AC Clinic Daily Acne Foam Cleanser. I didn't actually review this cleanser because I'm too lazy to review a single cleansing foam..haha but I actually bought this cleanser for three times after each tube finished up. It works great controlling pimples on my face until the third tube. I can see that on the third tube, my face became invulnerable towards the foam :(

Anyway, let's head on to the review :D

I know they may be a lot of you out there would be like.."oh god..why they have Paraben..." haha..

To be honest, I was shocked too but since I don't really google up ingredients before buying anything, well of course a part of it was my fault too..

Forget about the ingredients, just focus how it performs on me. Sorry that I don't have the picture of before and after for skincare because I lack of experience to review skincare better than make-up ..hehe..

The foam is really smooth, it lathers up quickly and it doesn't leave my face feels too dry or tighten up. In terms of performance, I can see that it controls my pimples well. I don't know how to say it specifically but I liked this cleanser very much. Of course my pimples still came out like usual but at least this helps me lessen them. For deep cleansing, I don't really sure because I don't have much problems with blackhead since I used the pore brush and the grits mostly came out when I used the Biore Cleansing Oil.

I never tried any essence before this one and this is probably the first and the last one I ever tried..Because there are too many skincare steps to follow and I'm just too lazy to follow the correct one.

My first try with this essence is the essence feels very minty though the 'Menthol' ingredient is not the first listed ingredient. My face feels a bit itchy when I apply this after I cleanse my face with the Clean Face Acne Solution Cleansing Foam. It is really hurt T_T

I thought I gonna stop wearing the Essence after that but to think that I actually spent a lot for these two and the essence is not that cheap either so I decided to keep trying. I tried this for second time on the next day and it's still hurt..;( So I thought maybe I scrub my face too hard during the cleansing time so the next day I try lessening the scrubbing work and woohooo..my face doesn't feel hurt at all when I apply the essence. It feels less minty too. Not sure if it is actually became more adapted to my face or......?

During the two months I try these Essence, it doesn't do much in terms on 'clean face'.

I can see the pimples popping out the next day after I start to use the Essence and it's not that normal small pimples either, it is those bigger one that hurts real bad...haha

Though I said that, that big pimples doesn't really came out everyday...(trying to make the essence name doesn't looks too bad) XD

It doesn't even lessening the bigger pimples from the previous day so I think this doesn't work on me. Probably it will to those who don't really have a serious pimples/acne problems.

Lastly, I have love-hate relationship with these too and this is totally my own opinion. It may works great on others so get the samples first and try them put before actually judging :D

[Self-Experience]Acne and Pimples,It's All Gone for ME!

Hey guys!We meet again this week~!Haha..Usually I'm not this diligent in writing post but I got some extraordinary feeling this week and that relates to blog!haha...I just missed how I started this blog with full of spirit that actually got lost a bit after 2 years of blogging..sorry for that~I'm activating myself again!Fighting!

Today,I'm gonna share with you about my skin problem..as my last post,I speak a little bit of my skin problem and what I used to cure it..so now,I'm going to explain a little bit more longer so that this can be used for those who might have skin problems like me and to those who prefer cheaper way of treatment since I'm a student and can't afford to meet skin professionalist and having a spa-like treatment like laser and whatsover treatment that exist in this world that used lots of money.

I actually do have my 'before' skin photo in my collection as my mom asked me to keep that for future comparison whether the medicine given by the pharmacist is actually worked or not..but the photo is a bit too revealing for me who wears hijab..but maybe I'll cut of some parts in the picture later so you can see it..I'll try but not promised...

Actually my skin problems starts when I was around 18 years old(I'm 20 years this year) which I starts to wear make-ups.I'm actually a girl without a skin problem before turn into a girl who got a lot of pimples and turn to acne.It is all because I'm wearing BB Cream that time and that 'thing' blocks my pores.It is said that when a person used BB Cream,normal cleansing is not enough to clean your place deep down to your pores and I was a newbie and I didn't know that.I just cleanse my face like usual because I think it is enough to clean my face but I was wrong,bit by bit the pimples went out onto my face and this newbie(me) thought that it was only a normal pre-hormon before my period every month.Having pimples before period is usual for me..

Later then,the pimples went out a lot but then it disappear some and went out again..I continued using BB Cream until last year(like September I think)..I read about the cleansing oil and I realize that my method was wrong..and the time when I realize that,my face already got into trouble because I'm someone who can't stand to see any pimples on my face and I pop it out...then it turn to be acne because of that..

P/S : Pimples and acne is different.Pimples is a normal one that went out onto your face and will disappear after some time if you have good cleansing skills.Acne is the pimples that went out onto your face and leave a 'hole-like' onto your skin when it disappear.

Then,I immediately stop wearing BB Cream until now(yeah,i still got a lot of BB Cream in my drawer,so should I sell them?haha xD).My mom who was the one that complains so much after seeing my skin became bad day by day..and I myself try to treat my skin as possible as I can.I EVEN BOUGHT A FULL SKINCARE COST LIKE RM500+ for this!It is too expensive right???That doesn't include the previous one that I bought..and all of them DOESN'T EVEN WORK!That was the thing that pissed me off..It's because some of the users already shows some positive sides and my face doesn't show any improvement at all..so I gave up..all this thing was too tiring..

I myself also tried to covered all those unperfectness on my face by wearing the powder foundation replacing the BB Cream...and that was also a BIG MISTAKE that I ever done!That powder foundation works in covering but my face are getting more awful..till my aunties also realized this and my friend also noticed this..so everytime I look into the mirror,I will be really sad...(oh yes..this was true though,I'm not creating any fake stories okay!In fact this is my true experience..no advertisement in this post!)

So last month or end of the November I think,my mom decide to bring me to pharmacy to buy medicine to cure this..and the pharmacist gave me a medicine named 'Topicil' because she said,your pimples is not too bad..( yea because mine wasn't like have nanah(pus) all over becoz once it appears,then it will be flat after the pus gone..)..I used the Topicil medicine about nearly 3 weeks I think and that doesn't took an effect either.Topicil is like a bit strong medicine to cure pimples.So you can only get this at pharmacy if recommended by the pharmacist.

So my mom brought me again to another pharmacy.I think the name is Pharmacy Valley and there are always 2 pharmacist in the pharmacy to keep watching the store.So my mom thinks this could be better than the previous one since the previous one is-no-like pharmacist at all...sorry doctor..hahaXD

The pharmacist then look at my face and  she also said the same thing,my problem is not too bad..(I was like really??but I think it is bad already)..She then recommended a face wash(from her pharmacy),a day cream(from Italy named Acnelia to prevent 'newborn' pimples.A bottle of acne preventing pills(from her pharmacy too) and a peeling off cream(from her pharmacy that must be used at night to remove the skin cells that infected with the acne/pimples.The total is like RM150+ I think and I only pay half and my mother sponsored me half...hehe :DDDD

I used all of that about less than 3 weeks.For the first time,the peeling off cream was really hurt on my skin..part of my face become red though because it peels off my skin(the part that i applied) when I was sleeping..but I think no one realize that since no one tell the difference on my face..kkk~Mostly my pimples were on cheeks and T-zone..whether my forehead got nothing..So the medicine is only for the part that infected.Then when this cream is combined with their face wash,my face feels really tight!Like something pulled my skin!LOL..at first it feels weird but not hurt but then I liked it...lol...

The pharmacist said to meet her again after one month but the medicine running out so fast..maybe I was too excited though..haha..and I don't have any holidays too so I went again to the pharmacy last week..and that time,the pimples were already gone and so was acne too..because after the medicine run out,I still got new pimples on my face so I thought this thing will be never disappear but it changed after 2 weeks coz i can see my face getting better even though the medicine ran out already..

and the last thing remains was the scar..so the pharmacy gave me the face wash once again and a scar treatment gel named Strivace that was produce locally.Now,its already in my second  week using that along with Acnelia that I mention before for the day cream used to prevent 'newborn' pimples.Oh..one more thing about Acnelia,this is very good in preventing pimples!This is really true!Because after my medicine ran out,the only thing that remains was Acnelia and I applied this onto my newborn pimples and it is gone on the next day!(Maybe it wasn't completely gone but the pimples can't develop to more bad appearance)..

I can see so much improvement on my face now because it is getting cleaner and I was happy too!I always lacks confident when I have pimples on my face but now its not anymore!In fact,I only used a normal compact powder when I went out!No more thing need to cover.!hehe..and yeah..there was some 'hole-like' thing remains too because my fault : I pop out the pimples before..I just wish the pharmacy could give something that can make it disappear though...haha..

So yeah..I think this is a cheaper way to treat your skin than spending lots of time and money trying some skincare and trying out another skincare that works or might not works for your skin!So total healing period for my skin was about 2 months..It was a lot better..believe me~~~

So choose the best for you because I was only recommend this since it works for me.For the medicine,you can only got it at pharmacy but I recommend you to ask to the pharmacist further more since he or she might recommend something else that works a lot more for you based on your skin condition.These medicine was dangerous if you just bought it without proper consultation and maybe it will cause a lot more trouble for you so let the pharmacist do their work..

Now,I didn't used any foundation nor BB Cream anymore..hehe..I'm more prefer compact powder/loose powder..since it is more natural..maybe for make-up,I only focus on my eye make-up and lips~~

So good luck!I'm happy that I finally can share this based on my experience!I just wish i can show you my pictures but then I wasn't prepared when I wrote this post.kkk...So yeah..maybe that's it..

[REVIEW]MJ Care Masks!

Firstly,a very sorry to everyone because I promised that I will be blogging through out the week but I stop after few days..it is because of the festive season,a lot of people are coming over and I've to help my mother from day to night..It was super tiring and I didn't have the time to blog because I went bed early.. So,I'm going to continue today..hope you don't mind (;´ρ`) ｸﾞｯﾀﾘ


This time I'm going to review another masks type that I used..hmm..most probably already been two weeks 
already..and yeah,I bought this along with the french ampoules I reviewed before with the same seller..hehe


Owh,before I head one more..MJ Care masks is from and produced in Korea by MIJIN Cosmetics.I wasn't 
intentionally bought a 'Korean masks' coz I don't know this brand before nor knowing where it comes from..
haha..Just after I bought them and I read the total-written-in-korean description and I know,aha,this is from Korea 
then.. ^_^

These are the masks but actually there are 16 piece of it and 3 types from all types.I already used some before and this photo was taken few days ago and you would say only few left with me now..

The first one would be MJ Care Charcoal Essence Mask.This mask suits oily,big pores and acne type skin the most because it can heal them.At first I'm not going to believe but after trying it few times and it was absolutely true!It heals my several acne!

As I said before,my acne never heals completely out of my face and I was really depressed by it..(well said that I'm fed-up with the acne because won't be able to get rid from me..keke)

Just I suggest you to use this mask together with MJ Care Herb Essence Mask before using this especially for bad acne because the herb one can calm down your skin first!That's how I do it!

The Jasmine Essence Mask just another mask that suits oily skin and this is one of the mask that helps too!

But if you're going to skip this then it won't matter since you will use both charcoal and herb one!

This is the MJ Care Herb Essence Mask I'm talking about..It do what it has to do and I was satisfied!

Yeah,this is how I know that the masks is from Korea..

For the shaping,not all the masks have the same cut..I don't know what machine they used to produce that but all the sheet is not with the same size..some of them were ok and some of it were not so ok..

All the masks have fragrance/smell and the strongest smell is the herb one..Others are not too strong but well,I'm saying this because maybe some of us will not used to fragrance..especially the strongest one..None of the smell bothered me since it was smell very good~!~~

So yeah,please try it if you're interested.I would say that this mask is reasonable and worth to buy!
