[REVIEW & GIVEAWAY] Meng Meng Lace Double Eyelid Tape

Hi guys! I'll be reviewing this Meng Meng Lace Double Eyelid Tape which is sponsored by Supermodels Secret. Please stay tune at the end of the post coz I'm going to do a giveaway~ SS is my newest sponsor and they gave me a few items to try but this review is based on honest review. I'm going to review the rest later.

Practically, this is how to use the eyelid tape.

There are five pieces of 6 pairs eye tape in a pink pouch. There are also included with a glue.

You need to push out the tape.

I don't follow the instructions at the back but from a youtube tutorial that SS posted.

uwah..my super bare eyes..0.0 My eyebrow looks super messy because it's my mistake while trimming it for the first time..lol.. Anyway, as you can see my eyelid is a bit lower before and after I put on the tape which the at the height that I wanted, makes my eyelid fold a little bit higher. The tape is almost invisible and if you saw any strings pop out like in the picture, do add a little of glue on top to make it less visible.

If you notice, there's a little fold of eyelid near to my lashes which I don't know why is that happening. Probably because my eyelid fold and my eyebrow doesn't have that much space and I glued the new eyelid fold a little bit too high so the tape kinda push my eyelid down and forms a fold there. It feels heavy somehow.

For those who might wondering how it looks like when putting make up on top, I guess it doesn't make difference with or without make up as you can see in the pic up there. I put on light eye shadow on top of the tape and it doesn't accentuates much of the strings line. Just not that this is a zoom in picture so everything looks clearer here. From afar, you can't really tell if someone wore an eyelid tape. Probably you might be wearing this tape better than me because I'm totally a beginner in this because it's my first time using an eyelid tape.

I just want to test out doing a gyaru-like eyes with falsies on but it totally fails..XD The upper lashes is not strong enough and overall it looks pretty weird to me..haha but one thing that I'm really glad it I can line up my eyes thicker than usual because the eyelid fold is higher than usual. Thicker eyeline, lesser mistakes for me XD

At first while wearing this, my eyes feels heavier probably because I'm not used to it yet. I realize that after a few hours, it feels lighter. I guess you have to be familiar with wearing eye tape first before actually using it to avoid discomfort.

The glue included is very strong for me but it takes a bit of time to try. There is another version of this eyelid tape which used a different glue (professional type) and it dries a little faster than this according to SS.
If you're using the same glue as me, take note that the glue sticks on really strong and you might not want to mess up. Other than that, I notice a smell on the glue, probably smells like green plant and I don't like it. However, it soon disappear when the glue dries.

The good side of this eye tape is it don't reflect under flash. I guess this is the best point the tape have. Like who wants an extra light reflection on your eyes if you're taking selfie. :D

Overall, I think this eye tape is better than the 'plastic type' of eyelid tape because this is like a thread and doesn't hurt your eyes.

[REVIEW] Candy Doll Cheek Color Duo

It feels so long for me to buy any Japanese Cosmetics! I always liked gyaru styles and Tsubasa Masuwaka were quite popular in Popteen magazine which I used to read (though I don't understand a word) but now I don't really buy any Popteen mags because of the inconsistency availability of the magazine in the bookstore I always dropped by.

Anyway, I came across this new blusher from Candy Doll. I knew that they came out with this new product but I never thought I would find this at HiShop when I browsed their site. Since I had accumulated points that I've kept ever since working with them, I used all of it to buy this blusher..haha.Well, I did paid a little more for this but it's worth it when I have to spend a little for this.

Pink for cheeck color and light purple for highlight.

Candy Doll products cuteness never fails me.

There is a reflection of light from the cover glass so it forms white streak there. Sorry, I didn't notice that.

This is a light swatches of the blusher using my fingers. The colour is much pigmented when using brush.

Like other products produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka, this blusher doesn't have any scent with it and it's fine by me but I would prefer a nice scent since I'm a scent lover. :)

What I love the most is the packaging. Tsubasa is going for more and more otona look but I like that she's still keeping her design cute as ever. There's older version of this blusher which looks a bit plain and I think this new packaging is better. I don't have the picture of the old one but Google may assist you..haha

For this new version, she's going for duo type blusher consist of highlighter and cheeck colour. Honestly, the marshmallow purple did not do much for my medium skin tone but it might works for someone's fairer. I usually just mix it up with the cheek colour and it doesn't effect anything but maybe adding a bit glitter to the pink colour because the marshmallow purple consist a bit of glitter as you can see in the swatches picture.

The strawberry pink colour is very pigmented and I had to be careful for not to overly applied. When I applied it lighter onto my cheek, it tends to get redder than it supposed to be. I'm not sure why but most blusher that I bought, no matter what colour it is, red, pink, purple or peach, it would turn redder. Probably because my cheek is naturally flushed that it makes the colour turns out like that (although I cover it with creams/foundations/bb). Then, I found out that applying it a little more from I always do makes the colour pops out pink with this blusher.

The texture of the blush is soft and it doesn't have much difference with any normal blushers. Probably because it is imported and created by someone famous made the price is a bit high (RM59). As far as I know, this brand are only sold in the drugstore Japan, but it's a high quality so I don't mind :D

The actual cheek colour are way pigmented than in the picture. Perhaps the lighting makes it looks subtle. I used both marshmallow purple and strawberry pink which the purple goes on my cheekbone and the pink is at the bottom.I apologized for the somehow "sad" looking face. I'm not photogenic so I always look awkward in pictures.

Overall, it's a nice blusher and I think that I should work in a way that the light purple would works on me..haha

I rate this :

Thank you for reading.

[REVIEW] Etude House Play 101 Pencil #15 & #27

Hi there guys!
So I'm unable to combine reviews for these multi purpose pencils from Etude House because of the mismatched arrival. However, I'll link back to the previous post for you which I include nine swatches of the pencils here.

This two pencils are sponsored by Happie Bubbles which is a local Malaysian Korea Beauty Store that sells various Korean Beauty products! You might want to check their facebook page here. I like how bubbly their photos are :D I was asked to choose any products to review so I choose two of these pencils for that. The parcel arrived to me yesterday and I've tried the two of them since I was excited whenever a parcel arrives for me..haha

This time I tried the sharpen it but so many problems encountered while sharpening No.15 because it is so soft and the sharpener often got stuck with the product at the end making it messy.

These pencils are twistable and attached with sharpener.

I did not do the outdoor swatches picture for the previous post so here is the outdoor version. Paper swatches were kinda useless so I didn't do them this time.

The pencil is twistable and it means that you don't have to use the regular sharpener to sharpen the outer black part. They attached a plastic sharpener at the end of the pencil to sharpen the tip if needed.

I love how unique the idea of making this multi-purpose pencils as eyeshadow, lipstick and eyeliner in one. Most of my eyeshadows are came in palette or individual cases so it takes a lot of space in my pouch when I travelled. However, with these pencils types, it easily fit into my pouch and I can bring as much as I want to with varieties of colours.

No.15 - It is a glossy type which is very soft to me. It kinda easy to melt (it's hot here) and hard to sharpen because it tends to get messy a lot. I love the colour so much. It's a peachy orange and suits lips very much. Unlike No.23 that I reviewed here, this No.15 is pretty much not suitable for eyeshadows because it might creased. No.23 is less glossier and I've tried using it as eyeshadow which works for me.

No.27 - Is a glitter darker pink in colour. Honestly the poster photo is different from the real tip which you can trust the poster better because the pink wasn't as dark as the tip shown. The swatches are comparable with the poster photo and I like it that it won't smudges after it dries. It feels a little bit rough as No.44 because of the glitter but it is a really pretty colour. Suit to be an eyeshadow and it is waterproof too.

Overall, I love these pencils so much! Would love to get the blue version next :D
I definitely recommend everyone to try it :) Read my previous post for another nine colours swatches!

I used No.15 on the center of the eyelid and No.27 for the whole eyelid. No.15 is being an epic fail to be an eyeshadow even though I prep my eyes with eye primer. Sorry, I'm kinda lazy of putting mascara so I used falsies..haha..it's a bit mess there.

I rate this :

[REVIEW] Etude House Play 101 Pencil

Hello there!
I'm so excited to review these multi-purpose pencils from Etude House that I received last week from Testerkorea. I wish I could get more but since my Paypal transfer limited only to RM500 per transfer and I don't know why, so I can't buy more than that. Plus, buying more than that is risky for getting my parcel detain. I don't want that to happen.

Only got nine pencils for now.

Sorry for the unseemly looking tip. Two of them were dropped by mistake and I don't sharpen them on purpose to show how soft it was.

I really don't know this before because there aren't any websites that stated this :
These pencils are twistable. It means that you don't have to sharpen the outer black pencils to get the product. Every pencils are attached with cute tip sharpener in case you need precise lining.

On top is the swatches on my palm and the bottom one is the swatches on a white paper.
Just to note that all the colours are showing similarities with the real swatches except for some of the white paper swatches. It's best to refer to my palm swatches.

It was really hard to choose the colours that I really liked because I know the real colour is different from the posters on their website. So I take a look at a lot of Korean blogs for the colours although the colours are quite confusing considering the lighting and sharpness of the pictures. I finally able to choose nine colours in total, well, actually a lot more.

If you head on to Kpoptown, they already describe each number of pencil for its texture and proposed use. So if you would like to make decision, please take a look at their translated posters first because each pencils came with different types of textures. I'm more to colours person so it doesn't matter if they're matte, glitter, creamy or glossy. But overall, I really like the glossy and creamy type because the glitter is a bit hard to blend after they dried.

About the sharpener attached at the end of the pencil, I'm glad that they did it because it's helpful for sharpening the tip but what I dislikes is when the tip is used for creamy or glossy type, it will cause a huge mess because the product into the sharpener hole. Cleaning thoroughly is needed after each sharpening.

Some of the glitter and matte type are waterproof and smudgeproof. All the other types can be smudge considering that most of them are used for eyeshadows and lip. I advised that if you would like to used the pencils on eyes, it's better to put on eyelid primer because it can easily creased after a few hours. Other than that, there is no scent for this product unlike other Etude House products.

No.10 - It looks a bit dark in the poster however it fit perfectly with my medium skin tone. It is matte but it is easy to blend. Perfect to be the lip concealer and conceal minor blemishes.

No.12 - This pencil is glossy and fit for lip. Although it is a multi-purpose pencil, I would not recommend this to be applied on top of eyelid because of the glossy texture. It is easily messed up and creased and it hydrates the lips the best. Pony called it "Vermilion Orange" which I think is the best describe the colour. To compare between poster advertisement and real swatch, it is quite the similar to each other.

No.18 - This is a subtle matte lavender. I'm so into purple trend right now and I'm thinking to get the No.19 as well but since I'm not too sure how this colour will turn out because I hadn't seen proper swatches for it so I took No.18 to try first. Although this is the matte type which is similar to No.10 however, I notice that it is quite hard to blend after it dries and the time taken for it to dry is really short. Quite a work with this. Pony using this as blusher and it also can be used as eye shadow. Real swatch and the poster picture is comparable.

No.23 - This is a pigmented glossy burgundy colour. It is similar to No.12 Vermilion Orange and I would recommend it only for lip. However, if you know some adjustments like adding a powder on top of the color to lessen the glossy texture, it would might work as eye shadow too. The poster advertisement colour is really different from the real swatch.

No.26 - Is a glitter type and falls into the creamy category considering the texture. It has gold glitters with it as the poster advertisement shown. The colour is a peachy pink and from the swatches, it has the exact colour as the Etude House Color Pop Drawing Show Creamy Pencil in PK103. Though it is glitter type but I find it quite creamy for me which I preferred. The poster picture is a bit misleading since this looks pinker.

No.29 - This is a shimmering type. It's a vampire purple in colour and it glides really easily. Suit to be an eye shadow or eyeliner. However if you want to use it as an eyeliner, it might disappear easily so it's best to top the colour with powder shadows.

No.44 - Because it is a glitter type, it feels a little rough when applied on skin and this applies to all glitter type pencils in this collection. It is a gold brown pencil colour and suit as an eye shadow.

No.47 - Is a copper coloured pencil. It glides easily and it is soft which is similar to the No.29. I really liked how this pencil glides on my skin because it is really soft. Suit to be an eye shadow.

No.50 - This is a black brown in colour and it is creamy type. I always used this as my eyeliner because it glides easily on eyes which at the same quite easy to be a mess. It is important to always sharpen the tip for eyelining or it will be everywhere and at the end of the day, most of the time my eyes would turn panda with this because it smudges easily..haha. So it's best to dab on powder shadows on top for longer resistance.

I'm using the pencils on my eyes and a little bit on lip. Colors used are No.10,18,23,26,29 and 50. I thought the eyes were pretty simple to do so I didn't do tuto but if you would like to, then I can add it later.

Thank you for reading :)

[REVIEW] Peripera Choco-Choco Brush Liner #DarkChoco

How was the cover photo?I really love the purple + pink + chocolate combi in this photo :D

Hi guys! So this time I want to review this chocolate eyeliner from peripera~
They released this choco-choco collection a few months ago and I fall in love with the brush liner since it looks like it will give a true brown colour. Anyway, I asked help from a friend to get this for me in Korea and peripera Korea kindly give me a side gift which is the peripera milky tint in purple :) (I'll be reviewing that later). If you want to get any products from this line, it was already available in selected Watson's store. You can get more information from Peripera Malaysia facebook about the availability of the product.

Product Information :
Name : Choco-Choco Brush Liner
Brand : Peripera
Production : Made in Korea
Shade : #1 Dark Choco
Weight : 0.5g

Almost tear off the label and I remember that I haven't take a picture of it..haha

The liner didn't budge although I put them under running water.

Rubbed the swatch when it is still wet and it flakes but not smudging.

I don't know why but I can't do other style of eyeliner other than this or I'll ended up looking weird..

Choco-choco line by Peripera focused on making a few brown coloured products. After the disappointment with the brown pen liner from 3CE which doesn't give my desired brown colour, I decided to try this brush liner from Peripera when I saw their ads :)

Furthermore, the Choco-choco collection were super cute to resist that I don't take much time to think of buying this. I'm not sure about the price( I forgot ) but the website shows 15,000 won which equal to RM48 (but they're having sales right now! It's 9000 won = RM28 :D)

For the colour, I notice that there is a slight red colour to it when I first applied. I think it is interesting because most brown colour have a black base or grey base to it but this is not. No smell detected from the liquid.

In the eye swatch, the liner might look lighter but you can layered it up to darken the colour. The tip of the brush is easy to use too and it makes precise line :)

This brush liner is not rubbed proof and it is not waterproof either. It can easily disappear while it is wet and rubbed. However, I like it that it is not smudging. The liquid will turn flaky when rubbed instead of smudging.

Lasting hours is about 4 hours on my oily eyelid with all the sweat-making exercises(window shopping! XD)

Overall, I really like this eyeliner. It is easy to use and apply using the brush tip.

Thank you for reading.
