[REVIEW] Althea Petal Velvet Powder

Hello guys! Wow, it's been a while! (I promise there's a new review that I'll be posting next so this sentence won't be as cliche every time I posted a new review with a month apart XD)

So today I'll be reviewing this NEW Althea Petal Velvet Powder from althea.kr and it is also their first ever product! If you see the photos below, you would already guess on how much the powder left, because I've been using it ever since I've gotten it.

This debuting beauty is a translucent powder that sets makeup and leaves behind a silky finish to the touch. Infused with oil from Althea seeds, this powder works to keep sebum production at bay without drying out the skin for a radiant, fresh look, all while giving out a gentle scent. Keep your makeup looking great all day or dust some on to stay shine-free! - excerpt from Althea (althea.kr)

Size: 3g / Price: RM16 / Color: translucent, for all skin types.

Can you see on how much it already left inside?

Came with a super smooth, velvety puff :3

One thing that I like with this packaging is that the "holes" are pretty big if compared to some "popular k-brands" powder and this makes it easier for me to let out the product on the cap and dab the powder from there.

source : althea.kr

When I first test it out, I was surprised on how silky the texture of the powder! I never use a powder that was as smooth as this and I was totally mind blown!

The powder is very lightweight and it was almost translucent in color because even though it is claim as translucent, but if you put a little too much, the white color will show through on the skin, although not much.

There's a little flowery scent too it which the smell is not overpowering and smells really nice! I do notice that using it for some time now has changed the scent a little, which I think it may be cause my mixing of cosmetics.

The powder itself is very easy to apply and spread easily with the puff. I tried both brush and the puff and honestly, the puff did a great job rather than my brush so I like using the puff better.

It does keep the oil away for my oily skin for a few hours, maybe about ~4 hours until I see a little sebum on my forehead and around my nose and so far, it doesn't break me out at all although I sometimes would have it on face for a long day! Be sure to watch out for creasing because it would crease after a few hours especially when the area have crease and sebum.

Overall, I think it was a nice powder and it was so cheap too! They would have this even in the lower price for a discount event sometimes so watch out!

and psssst, do you know that Althea also offered buy 2 and free shipping right now?! It was ridiculous because I would totally broke faster like this XD

Thank you for reading and here's a photo of the box that althea.kr sent to me and just look inside! It's soo cute and smells good too!

[REVIEW] Banila co Prime Primer Photo Layer Powder #Naked Peach

Hello guys!
This review suppose to be posted back then but I always forgot it every time!haha
However, I wanna say that I've been using this since the first time I got it, which is last December if I'm not wrong. I guess this loose powder is another popular product of Banila co aside from their prime primer and clean it zero balm. I'm in love with it of course because of the packaging..:D

I had a few loose powder before and it's from Innisfree, guess you knew which it is-I had both original and blur version. To be honest I didn't powder all over my face after wearing any cushion or BB because I find it easily caked my makeup however powder are very useful to smooth the lines on top of my eyelid and under my eyes. It lessen the probability of the foundation to crease.

Here are the details of this product.

Brand : Banila co
Origin : South Korea
Product Type : Loose Powder
Color : Naked Peach
Net Weight : 12g
Where to buy : Jolse , Koreadepart , Stylekorean

There are two colors of this powder which are Naked Peach and Pale Pink. When I got the Naked Peach, I thought it would be peachy in color but it looks more like pink to me. Even through the case, it is already visible that it was pink and not peach in color. However, I don't think the color has much function to it since it won't be showing on the face but I do think it give a little tone than normal white powder.

There is no scent to this powder and I can say that the powder texture is very fine, almost similar to the Innisfree No Sebum powder. It controls oil pretty well and what's great is that it prevent crease on my eyelid! It's been some time since I've used any eyelid primer because this powder does its job. I normally will apply this onto my eyelid and under my eyes to prevent creasing. So before applying any eyeshadow or cream shadow, I would put on this powder first and it would make my eyeshadows stays on well considering I had oily eyelid.

However, the downside of this powder is that it would caked up if applied throughout the face especially on oily zones so I would avoid applying this onto my face.

The packaging is nice, it has the jagged sides for twisting but I don't like the face that there are only four holes for the powder to get out of the case and I don't think the cover can be open at all(?) coz I tried but it's not working.

Overall, there are some pros and cons but I still like the powder because it helps prevent my crease on my eyelid :)

I rate this:

Thank you for reading

[REVIEW] Etude House Princess Etoinette Crystal Powder & Heart Blusher in PK001 Pink Petal Kiss

Hi guys! Hopefully everything went fine today~ :D
The pictures somehow makes me admire them more~

This is my third post for the Princess Etoinette and hopefully the last post for this collection.
Taking pictures is so hard and tiring but I enjoy every single minute I spent to get a great angle :D

I received the whole collection for this Princess Etoinette about the end of the last year, means the review was delayed until today because I'm finding a good time to do the reviews :)

The whole collection itself make into the top Korean beauty products after it was released, probably the packaging or maybe the theme itself that attracts all the girls thirst for them and not excluded me of course ~

Some bloggers are even comparing this collection popularity with Les Merveillleuses de Laduree which makes me found a rose petal-like brush for the top search and that seriously makes me drool for second..lol
Compared to that brand, Etude House is way more cheaper and I don't think I could afford Laduree anytime soon..

Anyway, let's head on to the pictures and reviews!I took a lot of your photos for an eye-candy~

Aren't they kawaii? >_< love that Etude logo~~ :D

Perfect details :D

Let start off with ;

Etoinette Heart Blusher in PK001 Pink Petal Kiss~
i loooove the name! hehe :D

This is what it looks like when you open the Heart Blsuher~

Basically the 'hearts' is separated from the case too maintain the shape?Because it find the hearts are really soft!

Fluffy sponge with kawaii ribbon :D

Although the container seems large but the quantity of the blush isn't
that much, so I guess all the money went to the packaging..lol

The blush itself had little sparkles with them but for me, I don't think the glitters are much visible~
There are 3 colors of the hearts, shimmery white, medium pink and bright pink. The white shimmer is too add highlights on your cheeks. The pink colors are subtle and not really bright for few swipes but the color is buildable. I love when it is looks sweet rather than too pigmented on cheeks because it will looks unnatural.

I would say that the blush colors stays on my cheek for 7-8 hours despite my skin condition which is oily :D
Definitely love the lasting hours :D

I rarely used the fluffy sponge but it's not too bad to use it. I find some other might dislikes using the sponge but I myself think that it was okay since it gave the same application as I used my blush brush.

There is no hearts refill if you finish them coz Etude House don't sell them individually but I don't think I ever finish this since I only use a bit of blush or never. But if you do finish them up, I guess its not wrong to have them as a pretty decoration on your make-up table. It's worth it!hehe :D

I bought this for RM72.80 with discount :D
I think it is pretty expensive for a blusher but it's okay since I admire the packaging so it's no biggie.!tehee :D
There is another shade available that is orange color so you might have to google it..kk
See my picture at the end of the post for the idea how the blush color looks like :D
So next!

Etoinette Crystal Powder

did you see the sparkles?Sorry if it is not really visible in this picture :(

I fell in love with this lacy design sponge and the reason why I bought this powder is because this sponge too..

This powder is very similar to a compact that Avon released long time ago when I was a kid. My mom used to buy me a glitter powder compact from Avon but I don't remember the name nor I don't think Avon had such powder yet. The similar thing that I'm talking about is the glitter in the powder. When I first apply this on my face, I said, "woooh, I looks like a twilight vampires long distance relative"kkk
It's because the glitter is visible when you look up closed but it won't be visible from afar :D

The lasting power for this powder is really awesome since Etude House create new technology which are sebum absorption and moist coating powder. How cool is that? :D I can that it stays on my face for the whole day~

Compared using the powder brush, I prefer using the sponge provided! I felt like it spreads evenly on face and makes my make-up more glowy than using brush..I don't know why but every time I used the brush, my face always look whiter and I don't like that..

The shade available is only one and I think this suit all skin types since it is a loose powder :D

I got this for RM61.60 after discount :D
The actual price is actually similar with the heart blusher but I got 10% off for this~hehe :D

So here is my picture..apologies becoz I'm not perfect TT
I used photoshop to blur the background(only!) because it's too ugly on the back and I spent 4 hours to do that!lol
That was the first time I ever use photoshop and finally I did it..I won't ever use it again..hahaXD

I used both powder and blusher but I think the powder didn't show that well on pictures.
Pardon my dark circles and all the blemishes. I know my skin is not perfect..so don't zoom please..lol

Thank you for reading this post.I'll be doing a fun giveaway real soon!
Please anticipate it :D

[REVIEW & SWATCHES]Innisfree Eco Real Color Lipstick #5 and Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder

Holla! It's time for another review again!I thought I'm going to post this review tonight but the class that supposed to be this evening postponed tonight..argh..I hate night classes so much! It's like they are bothering my plan and rest time..>0< *punch the angry birds pillow*

Okay, let's move on to my review today,I think its been a long time since I review Korean cosmetics..it's because I don't know what to buy at the time + need money for study too..but at last,I manage to buy these cuties!wohooo!

Tadaa..this is the Innisfree Eco Real Color Lipstick in #5

The color that I choose! It said that this color is popular in Korea.

The ingredients maybe? It's written in Korean so I can't understand..only the first word that I know there,I-ni-seu-peu-ri means Innisfree.I learn the Korean words by myself since I love Kpop that much-->Muahh!..hahaxD

Again, the box.The box is kinda made from recycled stuff..oh yeah-->time to save the world!

Natural Origin Tangerine!It's Jeju Tangerine!Woah!

The lipstick!!Ahem..I already use it so the shape is a bit loose..hehe =)..but it supposed to be orangey-color..I don't know why the color is different from the catalog and I guess it is temperature difference that makes the lipstick was differ in color..Look here..I choose the number 5.
(photo credited to whimsicaltalks.blogspot.com)
Yup,the MD's pick number 5..the one that I choose..number 10 looks pretty too right?Sorry,I'm a red freak..keke..

The swatch on my hands!Look! How pretty the pink was!

Ok2..I'm serious now..so this picture have enough light and the previous one were not..sorry..

The color are pretty natural and pigmented too!It gives a pretty sheen to the lips and moisturizing!

My verdict :
Color : Very pigmented!Like the the lipstick promise on the tube 'A highly pigmented,long-lasting moisture lipstick that delivers rich color in a stroke'.It is so true!
Moisture : Very moisturizing in normal lips.So I recommend you to scrub your dry/chapped lips before using this.
Price : Reasonable for a good quality lipstick!
Ingredients : I believe this is 100% natural ingredients!
Lasting hour : Yes,long lasting,I think the last time I wear this, the color last about 4 hours! Also this lipstick will not completely gone if you eat or drink.

Rate : 8/10. I deduct 2 because this lipstick once make my lips so dry..It maybe because the temperature changes here and not enough water in my body(I think?)..

Okay..onto the next one!The seller that I bought this from raved about this loose powder for many times already and yeah..I sold..~and also the price was super cheap and I think why I don't give it a try since the seller said the likes this powder damn much!hihixD

The best selling loose powder from Innisfree!
This is the new packaging and honestly,I prefer the old packaging so much since it gives the ancient and natural look..take a look here..

The backwards..As you see on the above pic,the case was so cute and small..
Futhermore, this product promise sebum control(if you read the name)

The sponge..

The sponge fabric,To be honest,I don't like the sponge at all!Yes,I agree that it was super smooth but every time I use this sponge,my hands become dry and it almost absorb the powder that I took to apply onto my face..and it was kinda of wasting when I have to dab a lot of the powder from the case and apply onto my face..

The powder, there are no other shades..only this one..white color of course.

yup,my terrible face..sorry..I have terrible skin these days and I'm trying few brands now to recover them..I have a black scar there..this is before i apply the powder..

After applying, the black scar is still visible..!At least the powder should give a bit coverage but it didn't at all..I can see the excess powder(the whitish excess) on the scar which I have to dab it with my fingers to make it disappear..

My verdicts:
Shades : Only comes in one shades!Oh no..I have warm colored skin and this absolutely leave the whitish excess on face..so the color do not match..>_<
Smell : Minty smell but it is do not smell unless you put your nose nearer...
Minty feel? : Not at all..I didn't feel any minty sensation on my face as it promise..
Price : Very cheap for an overseas products about RM29.
Coverage : No...the black scar still visible...
Oil control : Not at all..I wear this along with my BB Cream and without BB Cream and it do not last longer too..I can feel the oil on my face after one hour...

I'm a bit disappoint with the results because it was the best selling after all and may people love it so much but sadly it didn't works on me...Maybe because our hot temperature? But would I repurchase this?Of course no..but still I believe in other Innisfree products and I plan to try others soon.

Rate : 2/5 because the price is cheap!

Anyway, thanks for reading!I will be back soon for the next review!Dolly Wink eyeshadows~!
Muahhxx!
