[REVIEW] Witch's Pouch Banhana Mascara #01 Sweet Volume

Woop, almost missed it. Missed it, sorry. Since I was awarded with the Top 100 Beauty Blogs, I promised on my facebook page to post a review today. I'm still unsure why I was listed among those awesome bloggers but I'm very happy, not lying 'bout that XD .Anyhoo, before the day ends, I'll do a review post as promised.

I got this Witch's Pouch mascara from Hermo.my while browsing for new mascaras to try. There's two options, volume and length and I always go for volume every time I got a mascara. The price is quite cheap and it looks interesting considering I haven't heard about the brand before and "banhana" supposely referred to "banana" I guess? Let me explain further in the review section below.

Before that, here's a little details about this product:

The wand is round and shaped like banana!

Not waterproof, disappear with a gentle rub.

I take a look at the name, it surely wasn't "banana" but "banhana" instead. Idk why but it certainly refers to the banana-shaped wand. To be honest, I really like the banana-shaped wand because it covers my eyelash from end to end. Of course not until the inner corner but it feels so nice when my eyelashes are coat evenly.

They had the silicon type of wand which the liquid won't stick onto the brush much and cause mess. It means that it won't overcoat the lashes and causes clump. I can say that it doesn't clump my eyelashes and separate it nicely too.

The mascara also claim to be non smudgeable which is true but it will flakes over time so watch out. I don't get heavy flakes but it is noticeable if you look into the mirror and there's a black flake under the eye and it doesn't look nice.

The mascara is not waterproof as you can see the test I did above however it lasts on quite well before it starts to flakes a little and it hold up my curl well too. It also doesn't have any bad smell to it.

The only downside is that it didn't give me much volume as I wanted and it took a few coats of mascara until I was satisfied with the result. Usually I would do about 4-5 coats to achieve the finish that I wanted.

Overall, I wasn't very disappointed considering that it was pretty cheap to compare with the quality, I could say that it was a good try. The wand is my favourite and the fact that it doesn't cause clump would make me rate it high.

[REVIEW] Bourjois Nude Sensation Blur Effect Foundation & Push Up Volume Glamour Mascara

Well, it's been sometime isn't it? Anyway, I'll be reviewing this two Bourjois products that have been sent to me by Muffin.my. Go check them out as I'm one of the contributor there :)

This is my first time trying Bourjois products that I've heard a lot about them, both postitive and negative, so what say me?

The first item is this Nude Sensation Blue Effect Foundation. My first impression, oh, this is so cute and the colour might suit me well. The colour did and it blends into my skin really well and the texture is really smooth. However, what bothers me is that the foundation blends so well that it did nothing? I know the "blur" word is not like it will do a total coverage however this is almost function like nothing like to cover even a tiny bit. A bit disappointed at that since I'm not sure what's the function of this foundation, lol

The foundation itself is close to oily and it would suit dry skin than my oily skin because my face would totally looks like I dip my face into the oil (okay, exaggerating, however it's close to that). There is a little bit of fragrance as well but it was not too overpowering.

I did try not to blend it so much and it somehow work a little in "blurring" (refer at the bottom for full face picture)

The second item is this Push Up Volume Glamour Mascara. They had another one that is for length too. I choose the volume one since I like my lashes to look more bushy(is this the right word tho?XD)

My first impression is that this mascara gonna do great and it did! I was surprised on how big the wand is because I don't think it will reach all the way to my near-end eyes. It might a bit hard to reach but it wasn't that bad, just need patience. 

The mascara itself doesn't cause any clumps no matter how much I coat my lashes! How amazing is that? I thought it will but it is not. Since the mascara would not clump, it takes me a little more time to make my lashes looks bushy. As I said, it needs patience for the my desired looking lashes.

The mascara claims that it is waterproof and yes it is because the liquid dries into a rubber-like thing so it resist water. However it is really easy to remove.

The mascara feels very light on my lashes however it weigh down my curls. My eyelashes is naturally straight and I usually curls them before applying mascara but using this mascara weigh them down and it turns straight again.

Luckily I didn't have any breakout at this day so my pimples didn't show much however you can spot redness on top of my eyebrow.  This picture is taken like 20 minutes after I finished doing my makeup and look how oily it is...haha. By the way, I'm wearing both of the product mention in this picture.

Overall, the mascara is my favourite but not so much for the foundation. Anyone tries the foundation and what say you?

[REVIEW] Etude House Princess Happy Ending Jasmine Proof Shockcara

Hello dearies, this is the second item in the Etude House Princess Happy Ending Collection that I bought. The theme this time is Princess Jasmine! Because I really wanted to portray the book-kind-of packaging that this mascara have, I decided to use my stash of mangas. You probably have read my short profile up there, I'm a bit otaku myself so I collect lots of mangas since high school but I don't have any figurine coz my mom would kill me..haha

Curvy wand with spikes.

A bit different in lighting, sorry..

The name is pretty similar with the original Lash Perm Shockcara and I expected it to perform the same and have the same wand. I wasn't looking much when buying this coz I'm in need of mascara (though I lately using lesser and lesser mascara) because the only one mascara in my storage seems to be running out.

I was totally wrong because it may look the same based on the packaging itself but the other criteria that I thought the same, were not. For example, the wand itself is very different from the original shockcara. The original one looks like a straight comb with spikes but this one is more like curvy comb. Honestly I would prefer the straight comb coz it's thin and easily reach out to the corner of my eyes but the curvy version is not so bad either although I need some time to practice between thin and thicker comb. 

The original shockcara claims that it waterproof but it is actually not coz it simply removed with water so I was expecting this to do the same. The first time I tried the mascara is on the day where I ran out of my makeup remover and I thought the mascara got no problem to remove with water but I was wrong, this shockcara version is super waterproof!It didn't even budge when I try to remove it with soap or water so I got panic for a while,haha. Thank god I got my pure olive oil with me so it helps me to remove the mascara.

The only colour available for this version is black. The mascara seems to dried on the lashes quite fast too although it might look a bit watery on the tube but it wasn't as wet as it looks when putting on the eyes.

But the downwards of this mascara or maybe I shouldn't call it downwards yet, is that, it doesn't work to add the volume to the lashes although it does the lengthening part well. It doesn't help in curling either but I am not expecting much for the curling part. Like the original shockcara that I've tried, it wasn't too much into my liking at first because it's clumpy and doesn't add much volume to the lashes but later then, it started to perform really well after 4-5 times of trying because I could see the volume starts to add up and it wasn't clumpy as it's first performance.

Overall, I liked the mascara the way it is and still waiting for the day that it will fully works in terms of adding volume..haha but the most plus point for this mascara is that it is super waterproof!Yeay~

[REVIEW] Maybelline the Magnum Volum' Express Cat Eyes

Hi ~

It's finally the start of the holiday which I will celebrating Eidulfitri next week as other Muslims all over the world! The tradition will be a bit different depends on where we live and I already prepared new clothes and baked some cookies for Hari Raya!yeayy~ 

Anyway today I'll be reviewing the latest Maybelline mascara which is Cat Eyes. I've seen some good reviews on this mascara and decided to try it out :D ( psst..I bought this at the same with my shockara mascara hehe)

I skipped the product information part because it seems like everyone do know Maybelline right?haha

Sorry for the sparkly things on my eyes, that's actually my e.l.f eye primer.

 The mascara gave enough length and volume just as the promotions says!

I love the thing that I don't have to coat my lashes for a few times to get an amazing results(save my time!)

It is waterproof! Who doesn't like waterproof mascara except if you need to perform an ablution.

But that doesn't matter to me as I bring along my make-up remover whenever I go. Just don't bring the full sized bottle, a small bottle would be enough :)

I like the bending brush as it applies a lot better than normal straight brush because it can reach to the end of the corner of my eyes :D

The price for this mascara is reasonable. I don't think it was too expensive nor too cheap.

First impression of this mascara is, the packaging is a bit plain ?? 

Yes, I do appreciate their effort to put on the leopard design but it is actually not enough considering how bomb the promotion was held here.

It feels a bit drying? You know I'm looking for the best mascara that would not cause my lashes to dry out throughout the day.

The dry mascara liquid would cause flaking which it will cause a mess to my make-up but this doesn't apply to anyone who apply a reasonable amount of the mascara to your lashes. It's just I liked heavier looking lashes on me so I tend to apply a lot more.

The mascara would cause clumping if applied too much coat as can be seen in the photos above. I usually used my other mascara brush to separate the lashes but too lazy to do it in the pics above..hehe

This would be my best mascara when I'm in a hurry or late to class..lol

Though there are some few negatives that I don't like, it still perform good in terms on lengthening and volumizing my lashes :D

[REVIEW] Etude House Lash Perm All Shockcara

I can't help but falling in love with every mascara that I saw..haha

and that's of course include with my bias Etude House, I never disliked any of their mascara because all of them works great on me..at least the one that I've ever tried..haha

So I saw Etude House Korea facebook page is posting about this new mascara and they even blogged the whole thing about it in their official blog although I can't understand any single Korean words there..haha

It's enough with just pictures :)

I bought this from ebay because only this seller put up this mascara in the list to sell..hehe and finally it's here with me. I don't think this mascara is in the same group with "Bling in the sea" collection.

I did found the translation of these pictures but the Kongrish looks too funny..kk so I decided to just put up the original pic.

fuhh..that was a long one. I usually take the ingredient photo but the box reflected the light so I can't capture it well. :(

Anyway, these are the pictures of what the mascara look like on my lashes :)

The mascara does a good job at volumizing my lashes however somehow I think my lashes looks shorter?

There are little clumps on the strands but it is not visible in real.

I did not use any eyelash curler because the mascara said that it will give a curl but looking from the pictures, there's nothing too obvious about that. Since my lashes are a bit curlier so it just stays like that but it's good that it doesn't weigh down the lashes and this isn't heavy as it looks.

I had problem with my upper lashes and bottom lashes stick together when I blink because of the mascara I used but this mascara doesn't cause any of that. Even if I blink for a few times, the lashes won't stick..I know it sound weird but I always had this problem in every mascara..haha

The formula is almost the same with this mascara. Because the brush would stick to your lash and you had to do zigzag motion to smooth out the application. I'm not really good at explaining this but if you ever try the IMJU mascara, it was the same experience.

For the brush, it is flexible but the original design is not curvy but straight. So it would bend according to your eye shape. I like the slim brush design as it would be great to apply to the furthermost lashes, at the inner corner or the outer corner. However, the pointy thing is pretty sharp so make sure you won't poke your eyes with it..(that's why it is called shockcara, lol)

Other than that, the mascara is a little drying ( because of the powder technology, maybe?) but it is not as dry as Maybelline though. If you have tried Covergirl or IMJU mascara, both of them are not drying at all. I don't know what is the difference but maybe it is because IMJU and Covergirl doesn't coat on much and both of them are more to lengthening than volumizing. However, despite being a little dry, there is no fallouts from the dry parts.

 Wiped my eye with cotton pad soaked with pipe water.

Using cotton pad soaked with eye makeup remover to wipe off my eye.

I actually wanted to show the waterproof test on the above picture because I try to apply the mascara on the back of my hand but it won't budge. The formula is unlike the other mascara that I've tried because the brush doesn't pick up much of the liquid so that's why it won't cause clump on the lashes.

So I use another means which is wiping off the mascara itself from my eye. The mascara claim to be waterproof but on the first picture, there are still some of the liquid came off from my lashes. So be careful if you cry..hehe and the bottom picture, of course, the mascara would came off easily.

By the way, the mascara doesn't smudge when I wipe it off but it crumple into tiny balls for cleaner wiping.

It's very convenient for me coz I don't have to rub my eyes..:)

Overall, I like this mascara, although there are little minus points but at least it doesn't make my makeup messier by the end of the day. If you would like to get rid off the tiny clumps, make sure you don't coat too much. I admit that I actually overcoat it..haha
